NiviHealth (operating as "She Knows Her Body") is a women's health education platform built for Indian women.

For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act), NiviHealth is the Data Fiduciary responsible for the personal data you share with us.

We collect only the personal data necessary to provide our services. This includes:

Health-related information — when you describe your symptoms in a consultation request

Usage data — pages visited, time on site, links clicked (anonymised)
Device information — browser type, operating system, screen size
IP address — used for analytics and security. We do not attempt to link IP addresses to identifiable individuals

We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as financial information, government IDs, or biometric data) unless explicitly required for a specific service and with your clear consent.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

To send you health insights, platform updates, and information you signed up for
To facilitate consultations with Dr. Deepika Anabheri
To power Nivi, our AI health companion, with contextual responses
To improve our content and platform based on usage patterns

We do not use your personal data for advertising profiling, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under India's DPDP Act 2023, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

Consent — you provide your email to join our waitlist or sign up for communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interests — we process anonymised usage data to improve our platform, in a manner that does not override your rights.
Performance of a service — when you request a consultation, we process your name, email, and health information to facilitate that service.

5. Data Sharing

We share your personal data only where necessary:

Dr. Deepika Anabheri — receives consultation requests including your name, email, contact, and health description. She is bound by professional confidentiality obligations.
Service providers — we use trusted third-party services (such as email delivery and cloud hosting) who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. These providers are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
Legal compliance — we may share data with authorities if required by Indian law or court order.

We do not share your data with advertisers, marketers, or data brokers.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services. Email newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Consultation request data is retained for a reasonable period to facilitate follow-up, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Right to grievance redressal — raise a complaint if you believe your data has been mishandled
Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent for processing at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing)

NiviHealth is a health education platform. When you interact with our AI companion Nivi or submit a consultation request, you may share health-related information. We treat this information with the highest level of care:

It is not used for advertising, profiling, or sold to any third party
Nivi's conversations are processed to generate responses; they are not stored and are not reviewed by humans except where you explicitly request human follow-up

Important: Content on NiviHealth is for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

10. Children's Privacy

NiviHealth is intended for individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our platform, please contact us at nivihealth.dev@gmail.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
